Loop Flight League Table PDF Print E-mail

The PSC loop flight league is open to all members who fly a loop flight from a pennine club site, to enter please send your GPS tracklog to the PG competition secretary, preferably as an IGC file, by using the "Contacts" link on the website. KML, KMZ and GPX format tracklogs are also allowed.

UK XC LEAGUE / FUTURE EVENTS PDF Print E-mail

  UK XC League

  There are currently  219 pilots (which include 19 PSC members) in the UK who have entered XC flights.

 

  The PSC is currently ranked third out of thirty one clubs. Well done to our top four pilots who make up our  

   team, Barney Woodhead, Phil Colbert, Phil Wallbank and Cris Miles.

  This is a fast moving dynamic league wich will change over the coming days.

  Future Events

  The competition scene is upon us. Provisional dates have been set for the Northern 54 Series:

·              Aug       George Cayley round

·              Sept      Cumbria round

·              Oct        North Yorks round

 

Please support as many of these rounds as you are able. They are aimed at both low and  experienced     pilots. If you have any queries contact Dave Evans our competition secretary  via the contacts page.

Question markThe Pennine Soaring Club caters for Hang Gliding (HG), Paragliding (PG) and Powered HG / PG pilots who wish to fly in the South West Pennine Hills covering from North Manchester to North of Preston. We don't teach beginners, that is the role of the schools, but we will welcome you whilst you're training....

  • Dale Pickard : 37 min flight at Parlick today, to Fairsnape and back before the rain started. Good to be in the air again.
  • Dave Evans : Nice work by Graham Jones, up to 4th in the loop flight league. 19 flights entered so far, nearly all from Parlick.

  • Richard Boyle : Well done all. I enjoyed the flying and the company.
  • Dave Evans : The N54 was won by the Dales team. Pennine and NorthYorks joint second. Norhumbra fourth.
  • Dave Evans : N54 went well, we flew at Parlick on Sunday, loads of low airtime pilots went on a jolly flight to Chipping. Well done and thanks everyone.
  • Dave Evans : The forecast for Sunday is good but it might get too windy later. We will start early and brief on Longridge launch at 8am. Anyone arriving later can still take part.
  • Dave Evans : Pennine Round of the N54 this weekend on Longridge and Parlick. Briefing at 11.00 Saturday on Longridge launch. Camping at 'Green Man' at Inglewhite.
  • Dave Evans : We have special permission to use Longridge! The PSC N54 round is on as planned.
